Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter Cleaning
His family is coming over today and we are actually cleaning our place. He’s getting rid of all the documents and IT stuff and wires and USB hubs and medicines, his drawers and laundry. He needs half a day to do those. I just need to clean my make up table. I need half a day to do that.
I threw away a lot of bottles and make ups today. Feeling quite sad lah. Cos those stuff I only use once or twice. Then I’d dumped it there for at least 2 years to collect dust. Every once in a while I’d wipe bottles and drawers. I’d try to remember when I actually bought them. Sometimes I surprised myself cos I don’t even remember buying it but it’s there. "Oh ya hor! Got this one!". Self exclamation because I’ve already bought another new product to replace this old one and the cycle continues.
I wonder if this is a worldwide girly phenomenon. Buying make ups which you’d swear by it during the time of purchase. You can’t wait to go to work tomorrow and try it out. Then afterwards, as days past, it’s kinda left there. It has become the untouchable. Then you’d go and buy a new one which works the same. Maybe the brand could be different. For example, I’ve thrown away 5 types of mascara earlier. Ranging from Body Shop, Loreal, Maybelline and Dior. Used them once or twice. At most I could think of was 5 times. Just recently I bought another mascara. The Loreal… no wait lemme check…. no it’s Maybelline Volume Express Hypercurl Waterproof Mascara. Sounds gorgeous and ACTUALLY WORKS! Dunno how long I can keep this up though hahaha.
I have so many brands of eye pencil. Dior, iNouvi, Loreal, Maybelline, stila, Fasio, Kose. Have not even sharpened one. What the fuck is wrong with me har? Tiu, while I keep blogging, I keep pissing myself off.
I also got 4 perfume bottles. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, JLo Live, Tommy’s True Star and Dior’s Miss Cherie Blooming Banquet. I won’t throw away these though, although I’m quite sure they’re fucking expired and smells like thinner. No, actually I’ve tried spraying the older ones on my body and it stinged like hell. So I’m using it to spray the toilet instead. Tip by Fay. The bottle designs are also quite nice, I guess I would keep it even after I have finished spraying the toilet for the next 64 years, for decoration purposes.
I also have tons of earrings and accessories, I don’t even remember having them in the first place and still complain about not having enough accessories. Let’s not even talk about lipsticks and toners and hair products and body moisturizers.
I’ve learnt that it’s very very very important to keep make up products in drawers, so that you won’t have a lot of wiping to do. Hehe.
But today, I’ve decided to throw away all these old stuff. I don’t want them cluttering my make up desk anymore, just sitting there, collecting dust. I don’t even know why I’ve held on to them for so long. "Maybe I will use lehhh in the futureeee???". It’s the same with old clothes. "Maybe got use lehhhh next time????" But in the end, you’ll never use or wear it.
I guess it’s just human nature. We just want to hold on to stuff forever and it’s not just limited to things. It can be a relationship or work or power or money. Don’t know why it’s so hard to let go.
So while I pack those stuff in a plastic bag and throw them down the dustbin chute, I felt a great relieve. Because, this means… I’d get new things yeahhh!!!!
Anyways, I’ve redesigned my blog as you can see. If you have problems reading the words and feeling a little bit of headache, it’s on purpose. I absolutely love the background wallpaper though. Not easy to match colours with.
In other news, my Pet Society is going great. I’ve got a couple of unique items like Biggest Brain Bust, Squitty, Elephant Doll, Cute Pink Chair and today I got Princess Pink Rug yeahhh!!! Cost 3000 coins siaaaa, but I bought it at 500 coins through Gold Mystery Box. Wooo hoooo.
Life’s great, with Pet Society.

Hahah, can someone translate this so I can show my mum? I need her to understand it is not just her daughter who does that, every girls too. Kakkakaka. But ever since I came back from Singapore with all those boxes I have, and super lazy to unpack them, I realised I don’t need them as much as I thought they are super duper important. I can actually live without them! I guess the truth is if things are left there unattended for more than 3 months, you probably won’t even use them anyway.
