I Signed Up For PPP!

(Is it too late?)

One of the reasons why I started this blog was to …. become famous. Hahahaha.

No seriously.

But I’ve never really thought of what I’d do with the fame.

As time goes by, I started to like blogging and got addicted to it for a while, it’s nice to write and write and write, get thoughts out of my head and knowing for a fact that someone out there will read and know that, I’m going through the same things as you do everyday.

marvelgal.blogsome.com was a personal blog to begin with, then it became semi-political, and when my life got more interesting that our country’s drama, I went back to being personal. Through my blog, I also made a lot of new friends; some are my faithful readers (like 1 or 2 people), and some are my faithful twitter followers. My blog also became a place to keep in touch with my friends, to let them know what’s going on in my life, what’s going on in my head, and never what’s going on in my pants.

Then I started realizing you can actually make money from blogging. Well, to tell you the truth, I don’t make much money from my blog. To tell you the truth, so far, the ads I placed here can only afford to pay for 1 plate of chicken rice, and drinks not included.

But it’s OK, because I don’t rely on my blog to generate income for me. Unfortunately, I have an unglamorous day job.

I know about this PayPerPost (PPP) blog marketing thingie for quite some time while surfing the internet, but never really thought of giving it a serious try.

So, why do it?

Why not?

I guess the good thing about PayPerPost is that when you want to update your blog, but you don’t know what to write, look for ‘Opportunities’ at PayPerPost, write about them and get paid. Now there is your inspiration and motivation!

Maybe through this I can finally sit at home, with a Mac and unemployed, blogging day and night through PayPerPost, earn money (which is always not enough) and still look chic and cool. Cos looking chic and cool is so much more important than anything else.

Eh, so we shall see how this goes.

Thank You Malaysians!

Dear friends and dear Malaysians anywhere in the world,

Thank you for your voice and thank you for your votes.

Yesterday, we have spoken through the ballot boxes. And we have denied the ruling party 2/3s majority. This means, they cannot simply amend the constitution and it will take more than debating skills and calling members of parliaments "Racist racist racist!" or "monkeys" to change a policy.

The Opposition has also captured 5 states: Kedah, Kelantan, Penang, Perak and Selangor.

I am very proud of you.

Truth to be told, this was my first vote. My first vote! I came back from more than 500km away to vote. And I felt immensely moved that although it seemed that my voice was so small in that little piece of paper, my voice was a part of a large declaration of the people, telling the government that we had enough of your incompetence.

Do you feel the winds of change? I do.

I am very happy to be a part of this revolution.

To the Opposition, you’ve done a great job. Thank you and I salute you. But this is only the beginning. Work harder for a better Malaysia.

To all volunteers who have helped the Opposition during election campaigns, thank you.

To all bloggers, your efforts of keeping the community always updated with news have been worthwhile. They will never ever underestimate our power anymore. I thank you.

To all my friends, near and far, who lent me their ears and and their email inboxes when I flood them about political news, thank you.

To Natasha, Kevin Vijay, Peter Kua, Lawrence, Fay, Stan, Mariean, Chern and my 7.5, thank you for staying till 3am yesterday and keeping each other update with the latest results, I thank you.

And lastly, to Politics101Malaysia, thank you for introducing me to the world of Malaysian politics, because yours was the first blogsite I visited and you inspired me to get involved.

The People have spoken!

It’s a good day for Malaysia.
