MaRvELgAL. Drunk When Sober.

So a lot of things happened to me since the last I updated here.

Relationship
I gave up on a long term relationship of more than 5 years. While most people around me were shocked or didn’t know how to react when I broke the news and some were just asking questions because they were being busybody, I really don’t give a shit about your opinion. Nor do I feel the need to explain or answer to you. But then again I do want to write about it. So here goes.

The underlying reason is my own selfishness. And that is all. I had a great relationship with a wonderful man whom to this day and possibly forever will always have a space in my heart. Nothing is going to change that.

So I may regret this decision. So be it.

To this relationship, I only have good memories.

Job
This year has been exceptionally bad. The economic downturn and heaps of internal issues happening in our office, I thought it would never end. Can you imagine, within the span of 8 months, I have had 4 different bosses?

But despite all that, it has a been a great year of achievement for me. Many a times I wondered if it’s just pure luck and timing, and the fact that I’m Monkey in this Ox year. Always I have been told otherwise by my peers and immediate bosses that the successes I have achieved were all down to my pure hard work. To be honest, it didn’t feel like hard work. It was a naturally enjoyable process for me. Yes there were obstacles and challenges and utterly stupid people to deal with, but that did not bother me at work. Yes yes I rant here but that’s about it. For the first time, I think I have to say and it’s alright to say that I am very proud of myself.

With that, I have finally decided to move on. I finally quit my job. It was such a relief for me. Huge sigh.

And whether I will be successful (of course I do want to be successful) or if I fail, I know I have mummy to go home to. It’s just a job, right?

New Place
At the same time, I will also be shifting to a new place and staying with 2 hot girls, not a houseful of people.

New Beginning
And so I have decided, this will be my last post here. I have far too many memories to delete this space. At the same time, I also want to start afresh, like all the other aspects of my life.

You won’t believe this but I swear to you, this was what happened.

We celebrated MsGreen’s birthday at Dome Cafe, Marina Square. At the end of the dinner, it was time to bring out the surprise birthday cake.

So the waiter, took out the cake and gave it back to us, with the plastic bag, the candles in a separate sheet of paper and knife, and the cake is still in the box.

The audacity!

Dome staff are really stupid. Never use their brain.

I celebrated birthdays before at so many diners and restaurants all my life and this has never ever happened before. Come to think of it, I wasn’t really angry. It was quite funny. Cos it was so stupid.

Then, MrGuardsman paid using his credit card, and the staff there pumped in an additional digit, charged it to his card at about a thousand plus dollars.

But of course, I will never ever celebrate any more birthdays at Dome. This was my first and last.

Such idiots.

Plus the burger was not nice at all.

After sooooooooo many times of trying on contests and being unlucky in lucky draws I finally won something omg omg OMG!!!!

Was seating in cab and watching an advertisement on TV behind the front seat, don’t know why I’d do that because usually I’d immense myself in the morning newspaper or my mobile phone, but that day I watched tv instead, bombarded myself with advertisements after advertisements after advertisements.

But one advert caught my eye.

"SMS to win a pair of free concert tickets to Rihanna on 13th November, be the 20th sender…. something something" See I don’t even remember the advert details.

I had wanted to go anyway but it was OK if I missed the concert because no one would go with me, so I tried my luck without much hope at all.

AND I GOT THE SMS TODAY WHILE HAVING MY LUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SO FUCKING HAPPY BECAUSE I’VE NEVER WON ANYTHING IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m going with my boyfriend. Boh pian. *ahem* He was considering it, choosing between Rihanna, the most delicious R&B artist in the whole world with damn nice dance songs and angelic voice…. and futsal. He really deserves a thousand deaths if he chooses futsal. Right?

…I will be in Ho Chi Minh city, yeahooooo!!!

I will be going there for holidays and shopping and eating for 5 days. Uber excited. Although it’s my 2nd trip there, but this time I will get to travel to Mekong river, temples and pagodas and an underground tunnel (if MrGuardman plan properly hehehehehehehehehe). K lah, don’t wanna give pressure to the fler, anymore than I already did. I’m going with my boyfriend and my parents too.
