Current Repetitive Album On My Playlist At The Moment

I’ve just watched Twilight last Sunday, and I absolutely adore the movie, more than the book. The book, to me, was unreadable. I brought it with me to Phuket but only started reading it on the plane back to Singapore. Luckily it was a gift from Sue, else I won’t buy it hehe. Read a few first pages and totally lost interest. I feel it was badly written, compared to the Harry Potter series and Sweet Valley High. Yes I used to read Sweet Valley High. Which girl hasn’t?

Anyways, I was also curious about the hoo-ha of Twilight so I decided to watch the movie.

One word.

Supermegauberfantasticorgasmicawesomebeyondwordsmakemewanttodateavampire.

And…

Rob Pattinson is cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob Pattinson is cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob Pattinson is cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob Pattinson is cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob Pattinson is cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve already started to notice him as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and… anyway he’s cute!!!!!!

Please don’t ask me why a soon to be 29 year old chic like me would behave like a 12 year old hot blooded girl and always ever thirsting for hot blooded cutie like Rob Pattinson, Jerry Yan and Wu Chun. I just do.

So now, I am currently repetitively listening to the Twilight album, both the score and the original soundtrack (thanks to MsGreen). I love all the songs. I especially like Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park, Supermassive Black Hole by Muse (good fit to the baseball game), Flightless Bird American Mouth by Iron & Wine, Never Think by Rob Pattinson (he CAN SING y’all and even plays the guitar and even plays the piano omg what a talented vampire) and my mostest favouritest will be Bella’s Lullaby by Carter Burwell (although this instrumental piece is short but it’s so haunting and lovely). I really like the tune of the piano, the way the melody goes high and low and high and low.

Looking forward to the sexual sequel.

I wanna date a vampire also. How to find one? Must be cute like Edward Cullen.

Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards 2008

I’m right in front of the TV now, watching this award show which was held at Genting last year. I don’t follow those TVB dramas at all, I just get updates from my mom. Her favourite actor is Moses Chan and so is mine hahahaha cos he looks really MAN.

What I don’t understand is, why do you need 4 hosts? I think 2 is just about enough. And I strongly feel that those 3 Malaysian hosts, Chui Ling, Lynn Lim and Vivian Tok were so unprofessional, their speech their conversation, really ’skanky’ and so ‘aunty’ and so childish. Don’t they have like lessons about professionalism and how you should behave on the stage? Cmon, asking stars to give them a kiss? That’s REALLY cheap. Gosh I feel so embarassed for them. I know you are star strucked, but you can do that off stage. This is a star studded event everybody in the world is going watch, those who are interested in TVB dramas anyway.

The only thing that was really interesting was the dance group, the 5 boys. Man they were good! Synchronized, followed the beat, it was WOW wow WOW! And the 5 singers, singing TVB drama soundtracks from the Astro Talent Quest 2008 were also very impressive.

Seriously, I am so ashamed of the 3 girl hosts. They did a really bad job. Shame shame shame!

It’s OK When Bad Things Happen Sometimes

I’ve been coughing for nearly 5 days already. Got this throat inflammation. Not the usual one, this one was really terrible. I can feel my throat swelling and my fever lasted quite a bit. I lost my voice and now I’ve got running nose. Swallowing also hurts and when the cough gets bad, I could be vomiting nothing but air.

So I’ve been eating porridges the whole week and tasteless soupish noodles. Everything’s tasteless.

Last Wednesday was bad. I was having high fever and in bed the whole day. Not talking, not picking up phone calls, just sleep and sleep and sleep. And missing mummy dearest badly.

I was so happy last Thursday when MsGreen, MrGuardsman and MrJetLi came to visit while I was working from home. I was just about to cook instant noodles when I heard the doorbell rang. They brought me porridge, a herbal jelly and a herbal drink. I was so touched. We had lunch together and off they went back to the office. I think it’s the first time I’ve ever got friends coming over to visit when I was sick. I thought it only happens in TV shows. Luckily I was wearing my bra when they came over. I made a conscious effort to finish watever they’ve brought for me.

It was good to be sick, I really appreciate their kind gesture and I learnt something new about them. They are keepers. Good stuff.

It’s Valentine’s Day today, Happy Valentine’s Day, my dear readers of 2 peehpul. I spent the morning doing some laundry for a while and we went to Paragon’s Din Tai Fung at Orchard Road to have our brunch at 4pm. Yes, 4pm. Then we walked to Shaw in hopes to catch a movie but the queue was so fucking long. Usually nobody watches movie at Shaw because the cinema’s quite old. But this time, the queue was so fucking long. Forget it, we never like Q-ing and it’s a job for Singaporeans only, so we walked aimlessly for a while until I suddenly had the urge to eat cake. And I remembered MsGreen bought this really really really delicious, best tasting cake I have ever eaten in my entire life for MsJazz’s birthday last year so I had to go get it for dinner. Walked to Takashimaya, St. Leaven at the market place downstairs but there was no strawberry cake. Sad smiley face here. You see, I’m not a cake person. But St. Leaven’s strawberry cake is so awesome, you can turn a gay person straight or vice versa after eating just one bite. I could finish an entire 1kg cake all by myself. It’s that fucking good. So it was sold out, and I went home heartbroken cos I couldn’t have my cake.

Going to Orchard on Valentine’s Day was of course the worst idea, but we only went there because of xiao long bao. Orchard was full of people. I don’t know why. All day everyday the place is fucking full of people. One auntie hit my ankles with her plastic bags so I gave her a stare. Her ’sorry sorry’ didn’t came across as sincere so if the world was to end tomorrow, I’d kill all aunties holding plastic bags first. Some idiots were selling roses for $5 a stalk. Who bloody buys a stalk of rose for $5 in this shiteous economy? Apparently, more dumbasses would. Some were also selling at $10. Heard from my mum, back in KL, 5 stalks of roses are sold at RM100. I tried to convince my boyfriend to buy a stalk for me but he refused to be a dumbass for the day. Shucks.

Now I came back and went straight online to catch up with my pet, Cibet, in Facebook’s Pet Society. Damn MsGreen for making me addicted to Pet Society! Arrrrrrrr! I find myself constantly logging in just to clean it, play ball with it, go shopping and race at the stadium. I’m getting quite good at racing hehehe. I’m so proud of my Cibet. But guess what? Pet Society’s under maintenance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sacrilegious!!!!! Damn I was so heart broken (again!). I miss my Cibet. Arrrrrr!!!!

My bloody running nose is annoying me. MsGreen says this should be the last stage of my throat inflammation. Once my running nose disappear, I’d be better. I’m going to take my bath now and force my boyfriend to watch Desperate Housewives from Season 4 because he promised me earlier he would watch with me. He didn’t get me any Valentine’s Day gift for 3 years in a row already. Enough is enough. Now it’s pay back time. I know how he hates Desperate Housewives eventhough he has never watched the series before. Just because there are some old looking women in a series doesn’t mean it’s not nice to watch. I’ve cried so hard watching a few episodes, and I think the stories are really touching. It’s even better than Prison Break, Lost and Heroes combined.

Happy Valentine’s Day again and hope you had a good one. Hope you spent loads of money because the economy needs it.

For me, everyday is a valentine’s day =)

How Can 30 Rock Win Anything?

30 Rock was recently announce the Winner for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy.

I’ve watched 30 Rock. It’s not funny. I didn’t even laugh at all.

And to make matters worse, Alec Baldwin won Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series. He has no talent whatsoever. He only knows how to read some lines and that’s it.

HOW CAN THE OFFICE NOT WIN ANYTHING????

the office

I love The Office, it’s fucking funny and hilarious and it talks about company politics, how the boss (played by the one and only brilliant Steve Carell) treats his staff hahahaha. Really funny and stupid at the same time. The scripts also really funny. Dwight is such an entertainer. And I love Jim cos he’s cute. I’m so happy this series is extended to another season.

I want to work at Dunder Mifflin!

Many things in one, post

Don’t laugh at me ok?

Now, whenever I am back at KL, at the comfort of my own home, I usually only do one thing. Couch potato-ing. Whole Saturday and Sunday. I don’t go out, I don’t see friends, I don’t even see my boyfriend, unless really necessary, which is almost always never. The best part is, my mum will ‘deliver’ food and her bestest Hainanese milk tea to me, while I sit and camouflage into the living room’s black leather sofa. Hahaha!!! My sister will be playing with my DS ruthlessly. She is also addicted to Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney liao.

Yes, I watch all sorts of movies on Astro, whatever shit movies they broadcast these days. Like that fucking dumb insulted my intelligence The Hitcher and Kingpin. Warning: May puke several times and cry like Rafidah.

So, I’ve resorted to something new. Watching this:

the bund

Hehehehehehe.

The English translation of this show is “The Bund” (Chinese: 上海灘; pinyin: Shàng Hǎi tān; lit. Shanghai Beach).

I bought it from Speedy Video. Hmm, cannot remember the price but convert to Singapore Dollars, cheap-lah! So many more classics I want to buy and watch, the next one will be King of Gamblers, starring Tse Yin, Lisa Wong and Chow Yun Fatt also. I want to watch the Leon Lai wan also hahaha, some crappy love story, my childhood show, which made me fell in love with Leon Lai. Now no more la, now is Keanu Reeves.

the bund

I am now at Episode 8. Sometimes I get lost because there is no Malay translation. Yes, I shamelessly admit that when I watch Chinese shows hor, I usually read the Malay subtitles. Because I really cannot understand those high-class Cantonese. Dah lah my Cantonese is limited to daily basic conversation only, such as “tiu”, “hamkahling”, “wei”, “tiunei”, “fong pei”, “chowhai”, so most of the time, I don’t understand what’s going on in the story.

Because the film is really ancient, sometimes the music and the props and the sound effects are really bizarre. Probably not the theme song, sang by Francis Yip. That song is classic. My late grandpa used to always ask me to play that song on the piano.

Hmm, if anyone has watched right, can answer me this and only this? Don’t fucking give me any spoiler.

Why did Hui Man Keong betray Fung King Yiu? Something gotta do with that Japanese woman and those containers of weapons. Then at the same time, Ting Lik asked Hui Man Keong to marry Ching Ching but earlier, Hui Man Keong was reluctant to marry her, but because of this scandal with these containers of weapons, Hui Man Keong asked Ching Ching to marry him, like so desperate like that. Now Fung King Yiu is searching for Hui Man Keong and Hui Man Keong is hiding from Fung King Yiu. And Ting Lik also felt disappointed with Hui Man Keong and I still don’t understand what’s going on. I thought Fung King Yiu liked Hui Man Keong? Or what? Have I gotten it all wrong? And what organization is that, wanting the Japanese woman dead?

Also, did Fung King Yiu really killed Hui Man Keong’s reporter friend? If yes, why? If no, then who did it? If Fung King Yiu didn’t like Hui Man Keong, why didn’t Fung King Yiu reject when Hui Man Keong got engaged with his daughter, Ching Ching?

Oh man, hope some good Samaritan out there can shed some light on this.

Cos I went to Wikipedia, AND FIRST FEW LINES OREDI GAVE ME THE SPOILER MACHAOHAIIZ!!!!!!!!!!!

WIKI SHOULD EAT YELLOW SNOW AND DIE.

You know I’ve always complained about having this stupid mediocre pop voice of mine, I’ve always always wanted a sexy, sultry, husky voice like Kurt Cobain’s. If you listen to Kurt Cobain’s voice properly when he sings in his songs, he has this natural dual vocal system. My favourite is Lake of Fire. Actually you can train one, you can train your vocals to develop those kind of sound, but in the long term, it will hurt your throat.

I know because I just learnt it from my Nintendo DS last night while playing the game “Trauma Centre - Under The Knife” HAHAHAHA~~~!!!!!! I am playing the role as a newbie surgeon, so I successfully operated on a patient with throat injuries and incidently, he is a rocker.

WooooooOOooo (till fade).

trauma centre<br />

The game is actually quite cool cos it teaches you how to perform medical procedures. I am now stuck somewhere and my patient has died a few 20 or so times. Need to look at walkthrough already. :P

A visit to the university recently made me felt so, sad. Seeing all these youngsters and all the time that they still have made me felt old. I always have this thinking that I could have done so much more when I was younger. But on the other hand, I felt that I’ve done everything. Oh nevermind, just babbling mindlessly.

I think if I quit my current job, I want to go work in a university. Uh huh, at first was at the airport, and then now, the university. I should think it’s quite fun to be in a company of youngsters, full of vibrant, full of excitement, but no point of views. That’s where I come in. That’s where I will be a very good influencer on their decision making.

Thought of going out today but it’s raining now. Sien.

"My Dearest Allie, I couldn’t sleep last night because I know that it’s over between us.

I’m not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I’ll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent the summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love.

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that’s what you’ve given me. That’s what I hope to give to you forever.

I love you. I’ll be seeing you. Noah."

A Walk In The Clouds (1995)

One of my 2008 resolutions

…is to watch as many movies as I can this year. In the cinemas or on VCDs or DVDs. So from today onwards, I shall have a post dedicated to record my achievements. I’ll have a permanent link on the side too.

The emoticons on the side depicts how I felt after the movie:
