Really sorry for your loss(es), and I understand exactly how it feels like in the relationship department (although I am persevering).

Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours, and hopefully one day I'll see you blogging again somewhere in the blogosphere.

Do you want your travel plans to be consistently altered a few hours before travel ?

If the answer is YES, do be a customer with Airebus Bus Services

Airebus claims to provide FIRST CLASS SERVICE, but unfortunately provides a class below THIRD CLASS.

Let me introduce myself. I have been a customer with this bus service for a period of 6 months (mainly due to how close its sales office is relatively to my house). I shall outline my horrible experience out:

1. Airebus changes travel plans without notice, and expect you to accept their altered time or have NO REFUND. Bus re scheduling can vary from 3-5 hours apart and your seat will be downgraded.

2. Airebus First class coach is consistently polluted with flies all around, and even cockroaches have been spotted at the lower cabins.

3. Tickets purchased on premium seats can be downgraded if the bus is under service. This happens VERY frequently.

4. The bus is frequently LATE by 30 minutes from its pick up at Mid valley or Scotts Road.

5. At the pre designated rest stops which are supposed to be 10-20 minutes at the most; Airebus service staff often decide to have lunch or dinner, and extend this rest stop to almost an hour, hence delaying the arrival times.

6. The customer service is extremely rude and do not offer any rebates at all.

So remember, if you want to FLY LOW CLASS, go for Airebus

Hahah, can someone translate this so I can show my mum? I need her to understand it is not just her daughter who does that, every girls too. Kakkakaka. But ever since I came back from Singapore with all those boxes I have, and super lazy to unpack them, I realised I don't need them as much as I thought they are super duper important. I can actually live without them! I guess the truth is if things are left there unattended for more than 3 months, you probably won't even use them anyway.

I loved Slumdog Millionaire and I think it represents the slums in India where I feel the situation is even worse than what was depicted.

On the money issue, make sure God is the center of your life, He will provide for you even when you feel like you don't have, God will make a way. Never make money your master rather be a steward of the money God has entrusted you with. When you surrender, you'll find He works in mysterious ways!

My advice to you, since I'm also struggling in this area. Hugs dear.

I guess even the best fortune teller will only be able to say generic things about you - you are so easily fulfilled and satisfied. I mean money is not the main thing for you, nor you want a big house whatsoever, Mr 7.5 inch is seemingly a good husband material .. what more will you ask? If you are keen, try another one for the fun of it. A tarot reader this time?

A simple task like renewing passport shouldn't be plagued with so much negativism, stereotypes and bias. I find your post here (and many others) not only glaring (since you called at Friday night!?) but also disrespectful, vain, and condescending. Well, it's just my opinion anyway. Here's why:
1. You sounded as if speaking Malay is something to be looked down upon. ["At first, they will speak in english. But when I repeat the required documents, then they said tiga gambar, IC"]
2. You sounded as though there is a bad M'sian mentality prevalent among M'sians. ["Puki ayam betul. Can’t even answer one question. Argh the Malaysian mentality is everywhereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! "]
3. You sweared unnecessarily.

My advise to you: Please have some love for your country and your countrymen and countrywomen. Be proud of your Malaysian identity and be sure to take good care of your new passport.

I have never bought any mooncake in my life, and I won't ever to. The prices are ridiculous anyways, so I rather save the RM30-40 and buy something more meaningful.

Try exaggerating more.

"Freshly baked naan emits heat signatures while its soft and smooth texture creates springy sensations once consumed"

"Scent of spices blended into grilled chicken which propels into thin air while they were delivered. Golden brown texture of the finishing completes the masterpiece"

"Prawns are juicy as if they still jumping around few seconds ago"

See, tastes better rite? : p

I would also like to add:

I can understand how you felt being thrown into a group of strangers and left to introduce yourself when a mutual friend is standing right there. I would be upset too.

And yes, many people use the word "friend" very loosely, and if you find a person who sticks with you throughout your good times and your bad times, then you've got a friend.

That is an excellent post, and I couldn't agree more. It is exactly what I feel. A gentleman treats everyone the same. You can tell if a man is a genuine gentleman by the way in which he treats you and other people. I know people who are nice to their gfs or wives - opening doors for them etc. but does not do the same to others. It's common decency and courtesy, and I doubt any woman would see it as flirting.

I totally get this. I once went to a colleagues house for christmas. Everyone knew everyone including hubby's and wife's who came as they go way back. Hubby and me both felt a bit left out. The colleague took no intiative whatsoever to make my hubby feel at home. I was ok but definitely not my hubby.

FYI, you need to use the keyword(s) in a paragraph. Ie, make a sentence that'll rhyme with the keyword(s). So your "blog marketing" keyword needs to be in a sentence/paragraph. Good luck with PPP, although it is a tad too late to join in the bandwagon.

And here one might fittingly quote these familiar lines from Rice:

For when the one great scorer comes
To mark against your name
He cares not, whe'er you won or lost
But how you played the game.

[Er, quoting from memory, but it's about right]

chipmunk, no it's not the only way. just press the [L] and [R] button and the four A, B, X, Y buttons ALL AT ONCE, that will bring you back to the main menu. Nintendo DS fanatics united!

Nah, geeks take pleasure in learning every single bleeding edge stuff out there that they like. Whether it be programing, design, music, movies, shows, gadgets...the like. As long as they have fun knowing and doing more than the average normal person.

really, there's nothing wrong with blogging about work- just as long as you know what you're writing won't get you into trouble with anyone, and that you're not revealing confidential info, but i'm sure you already know that- anything else is pretty much green light :)

You can also think of another 3 reasons for that:
1. He wants to clear things out before he move into his new life.
2. He wants to seek your forgiveness if he'd done something wrong last time.
3. It might just a kind invitation for a catch up after lost touch for long.

there is not much you can do except to ensure that they don't bite their tongue and hurt themselves. interestingly if she has a history of fits, she might have let everyone else know unless this was the very first one. But nonetheless give yourself some credit for calling the ambulance. In someways, you were in a stressful position yourself.

kerap kali sms, email dan perbualan msn antara saya dan kawan-kawan saya yang berbangsa cina juga 'diladakan' dengan perkataan-perkataan melayu juga...contohnya, "lantaklah they all", "apa nih?", "i wanna tidor" dll...

bagi karangan saudari di atas, walaupun merupakan satu usaha yang baik dan saya teramat ingin memberi pangkah A++ (kerana penulisan begitu panjang memang amat memenatkan) tetapi sayangnya, saya hanya akan memberi pangkah A+ (kurang satu +) setelah mendapati kesalahan berikut :-

2. I'm pretty sure you won't reduce the quality of the image, based on my experience with photographs. And no, there's no difference when you rotate it in the camera or computer. The only difference is it's slower with the camera.

3. Print it in the photo shop, it should come with a cheaper price because you're printing in bulk. Ask around.

sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. i have been to showcases, promo tours and concerts of my idol (a HK singer who is not what you would considered a small potato in the chinese entertainment). besides signing on the albums, he agreed to write my name on it. i think the "super" stars have a say in what they want to do and not merely following instructions from organisers. i am glad my idol treats his fans in a decent way.

Walao, this post is long.
Honestly, I didn't even finish reading the post. But come to think of it, to him, it's just a job, he will have thousands of fans like you. He can't take care of every single one's feelings.
It's hard for fans like you to think rationally for an idol you think of everyday, so there's no way that I can tell you to 'take it easy'. So well, set your expectation correctly, then you will have lesser disappointment.

i think it's Lee Hom's fault. I mean isn't he bigger than his manager. Seeing all your CD's the second time round, he should have been able to stand up and shake your hand at least. If not for his fans, he would be nobody! Hah!

i'm a leehom fan too and after reading abt your experience, i've to say, i'm disappointed with what happened. this is why i've never and probably won't ever attend any concerts or showcases. :p

but what you said abt him not having time to talk, shake hands and take pictures, well, maybe it's the fault of the organisers or the manager because i remember watching on tv him interacting with his fans in taiwan... maybe such things happen in malaysia only.

heh. :)

cheer up! at least you got his scribbles on your albums. (^_^) i'm pretty envious.

but what you said abt him not having time to talk, shake hands and take pictures, well, maybe it’s the fault of the organisers or the manager because i remember watching on tv him interacting with his fans in taiwan… maybe such things happen in malaysia only.

heh. :)

Yeah...mooncake is turning into a multi-million ringgit industry, and it's definitely over-rated in my opinion. I will just stick to lantern walk and a cup of pu-er tea.

Just stumbled on this post, and this blog! Having lived in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan, I don't think there is that much to complain about for apart from #5. Astro's services are so horrible that you can't believe that you even pay for that stuff, with poor service and frequent breakdowns. The roads and road conditions are terrible, with crazy drivers in protons all over the place. Also, I doubt there is any place in the world where taxes and rates are going down.

For Singapore to be the 5th most expensive country to live in in Asia Pacific...uh, duh.

And if you're aiming for the HK market, it also depends on who you're willing to sleep with.

Joey Yung and her mother have to both have a threesome with Albert Yeung (HK triad gangster who organised Carina Lau's rape) or else she would never get a chance, and that also is not because she is not talented.

Talent alone is not enough. It's how far you'll lower yourself to get what you want, and the gatekeepers are showered with tons of talents that they'll just pick anyone who's willing to sleep with them.

In Malaysia, the land of the strange, lots of ppl have made it a habit to start their sentence with the word "No..." even if they agree with you. Why they go around seeking advice only to automatically say "no lah" is beyond me, but if they are my good friend this is what I tell them: I can give u my opinion but if the first thing that'll come out of your mouth is "no" then I don't wanna waste my time. Most of the time they listen and hold their tongue :)

During these few years in the chinese society, there are two persons, occasionally being compared by fans and fellow medias, saying that they are enemies. However, we have yet to listen to their feelings for the other. Now we are to ask Jay Chou. Jay, according to you, what type of person is LeeHom? "Actually, i feel that he's very handsome. And besides that, a main point is that he is very talented. Because lately he's been receiving alot of pressure from outsiders, but he's still able to overcome it. I think that no matter the changes that he made are good or bad, i will still support him."

However, in this situation, although you support him, do you listen to his songs? "Kindly do not interrupt down there (the music), sorry. *Sings* Thanks." Give a hand to Jay, singing LeeHom's 'Wei Yi'. Alright alright, another superstar, Leehom. Let's talk about Jay. "Is the guitar down there tuned ready? Thanks. Jay, all the while i'm feeling lucky having such a talented and excellent artiste among us. I think, no matter it is just me, i'm representing everyone in front of the tv and the audience here today, thanking him for writing so many great song, and always sticking to his music style. Besides, i also want to thank you, because of you, i will always think of you when making music, as your standards are really very high, thus pushing myself to advance."

Ella's asking whether this is romance already. Nono, don't misunderstand, please continue. "Really very appreciate his talent and music." Since so, do you listen to Jay's songs too? "Of course. From the first album, i had felt that he's a very cool artiste. Erm, rite? Especially this song. *sings* B flat." Let's give him an applause. Once again, let's give both of these superstars a big hand. They had been the best models.

I totally emphatize with you. I'm in my mid-thirties and feel like I'm NOT doing what I'm destined to do :) There's definitely more to work and money, and I'm still trying to figure out what it is. Maybe I've been in IT for way too long. Maybe it's time to be a yoga instructor. The amount of maybes are just endless. Write to me... maybe we can share experiences. See... another maybe, haha

Only solution: accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Please mean what you say. You can go to heaven as long as you are faithful to Him.

Cartoons evolve.
In previous years kids are satisfied with less information, hence they remain "naive" for a longer period of time.

It is a different story altogether today. For intance, I never recalled having to attend pre-kindergarten education at the age of 3. I never had to take tuition class marathons after school. In my time, my worries about jumping into the river was solely in fear of crocodiles, while today they fear of intoxication due to the river polution.
This pretty much illustrates difference of thoughts in kids today and previous years, and the difference of choice of cartoons.

ps, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin and all are classified under animated movies.

I really dun und what's so big deal about it.
I always notice that friendship among girls are more fragile if compared to friendship among guys, why? Because you girls are too siu hei, little things also like very big deal, it's not like the friend cheat your money or steal your boy friend right. Come on lah, just forgive and forget it, then you won't get so upset and blog about it here.

You're close to the definition. Or a little more cynical and realistic definition is that friends are supposed to be people that you have a common goal, a common purpose with if you will. Alliances tied for a reason in spite of who you are and in spite of who they are.

Friends are people you can rely on simply because you know that their common goal is the same as yours and no matter what, it's a tit for tat relationship.

Of course, then there are true friends and those come very far and few in between, even among people surrounded by people.

A shoulder to cry on indeed. But friends like these are hard to come by these days. I'm thankful that I have a best friend of 10 years who have seen me at my most weakest hour. :-)

Agree with panda, sometimes you just need all the motivations you need to keep yourself going. I have friends who gain alot in those talks and friends who hot for a few months and back to the same again also. It really depends on individual. Just keep your mind open lor, you will never know.

Yeah, it's true...most of these stuff are scams but there are also some really good ones. These rich and motivated people usually don't write everything out in their books because it depends on the readers to think and apply the principles in their own life - not to follow exactly every steps taken by the successful ones.

I personally wouldn't spend money on these kind of stuff, but I don't think they are all scams la.

Lucky me, my call get thru..and they answer my phone. Here the answers for renew a 10years passport (new book) -3 photos with blue background, Malaysia IC, Malaysia Birth Certificate, expiring passport and USD80 in exact change. Must bring original documents no photocopy. According to them greencard is not needed but just bring it ..incase they asked. They only need ONE DAY to process your application. That's mean your new passport will be ready next day. Application must be submitted in the morning between 9.30 - 12.30 only. This information was provided by Malaysian Consulate New York Office tel-212-490-2722 on 5JAN07 3.30pm. Be prepared to speak Malay ...because this happened to me.

*FYI ...if anyone need to apply in this month please call before you go since their system is down due to the earthquake in Taiwan *

*yeah yeah...no need to wait 4months*

first off, most of them don't have the prerequisites to work in private sectors, which is why they work in the government sector in the first place. second off, costs of living ARE rising - they should at least be able to get some compensation for that. third off, if you go to pusat bandar damansara at 4pm .. you'll realize that the bus stops are PACKED with civil servants - if you claim that they have cars and branded handbags, why are they packing the buses to get to the lrt? ("I see them afford cars, afford branded handbags, lipsticks, eating at posh restaurants, traveling overseas. I see them getting fat too." - i assume from this sentence that you mean ALL civil servants, since you never made any distinction). and finally, civil servants are known for their incompetence but are now finally improving their services (or so they claim) - should they not deserve some recognition for this? the rakyat complains that they are inefficient and that they deserve what is given to them as it is their job. true. but when improvement sets in, does the rakyat acknowledge that? no, we don't. we respond with negativity. we say that it is their job and that they deserve what is given to them as we pay them to do what is blah blah blah. see what i'm trying to get at? raise or no raise - we will always gripe and complain. we will not acknowledge their improvements, but only their faults. when they asked for some form of acknowledgment that their improving, in this case - monetary acknoweldgement, we shun them. thus, wouldn't it be just logical for them to slack and get paid the same amount then?

that is why i'm all for raising their pay. give them their pay raise because they deserve it (despite the fact that it's their job. humans are innately material unfortunately. there is psychological literature on this). take it away, if they slack. it's that simple.

Shannon, thanks gurl. I think you were the most 'involved' in this case, hehehe.

Juls, don't worry about it lah. Not to say that it was a huge incident but it was memorable. Anyway, it was between me and the teacher (we all know who). Thanks for being here though, muahaha!

Errrmmmm....i always had very high regards for my MEMORY POWER. But, upon reading your class-room story, I feel miserably rotten 'coz...ermmmm.....honestly, I do not remember any of it! Maybe I was absent from school that day? Then again, i recall havin' a 100% attendance thingy. Arrggh, I just feel so shitty 'coz I was sitting perhaps 2-3 students away from u and gosh, i just don't remember it! Sorry, Jo. The most important thing is, you didn't let that incident destroy you. Instead, you just picked up from where you left and you're all successful now. *hugs

I marvel at your ability to express yourself so simply and honestly. Unfortunately, we have a whole bunch of hypocrites who are not even shy to flaunt their racist beliefs & supreme egos in Parliament.

Can our people ever truly unite when some people cannot even respect the rights of the "kafirs", a label they insist is not derogatory or racist?

Can't agree fully with you on this one - you don't say Kenny Sia is good-looking, but look at his traffic! :D

But I guess this discrimination will mostly apply to gals only.

That's why I don't put up my picture on my blog - don't want readers to get distracted and read me not because of content but because of looks! hehe ... ;)

I think because we lived in a society where we are brainwashed into believing that being ordinary is ugly. Which is sad, because now everything is measured at face value, rather than what that person is.

And I don't mine bloggers who are pretty, it's the arrogant and so full of themselves types that peeves me off.

Talking about drug addits, you can see plenty of them in the Chow Kit road market doing their habits.

Last night there was a raid and quite a few escape by running over the low tin sheet roofs and puncturing many holes in the process.

This morning the market brightened up with the extra skylight.

Hello, came across your blog from PPS, what an intriguing topic. However, do allow me to debunk some of the inaccuracies, half-truths and outright fallacies in your two-part article. We'll skip the part talking about religions and how sex has permeated our culture and get right to the good part - the last 2 paragraphs in pt 1.

1) "Premarital sex is a sin"
Oh dear oh dear oh dear, everytime a supposedly factual-based article has to resort to THIS as one of its main points you know we are in trouble. ;)

2) "Young teenagers must be educated and be given birth control mechanisms because they are "going to do it anyway""
This is completely true - yet the article makes it out like its supposed to be a lie. You're not a little girl. How many of your friends are sexually active? Even in a church group you'll find a substantial number of people who are sexually active. Now one can get preachy, bury ones head in the sand and ask them to 'repent' or one can deal with the situation at hand: teach them about sex, STDs and pregnancies and hand out condoms. I know which one is more effective and I believe, so do you.

3) "How would one feel after buying the car after it has been 'test driven' by half a dozen drivers over a period of years?"
I'm sorry this is utter rubbish. People aren't cars. People aren't "damaged goods" after having slept with someone else. In fact, having more sexual experience will probably result in a person being better in the sack - its quite the opposite. Plus, if marrying a person who hasn't slept with anyone else is so much more important to the author of the article than personality or character, then I really feel sorry for him/her.

4) "Now with the 'engine' gone what similarities and things in common does the couple have to keep the marriage strong?"
This is incredibly naive. If not having sex with other people are the only two things the couple have in common, then sorry, your marriage is probably headed for divorce anyways.

Now moving on to Pt 2:

5) "One study showed that the average high school relationship will last only twenty-one days once the couple has sex."
I can't believe anyone would even pay the slightest attention to this "statistic". High school relationships don't last very long, sex or no sex, PERIOD. I'm 23 this year and I don't know ANYONE my age or older who's still with his/her highschool beau.

6) "Since early sexual relationships rarely last, the girl’s sense of self-worth is often damaged. Also, she sometimes concludes that if she looked better, he would have stayed longer. This mentality can lead to eating disorders such as bulimia."
Maybe in highly specific cases, but we all know most cases of bulimia are caused by unrealistic depictions of women in beauty magazine. If we're blaming premarital sex for bulimia lets go the full monty and ban Cleo and Cosmo too! :P

7) "Her development as a woman is stunted, because without chastity she doesn’t know how to express affection, appreciation, or attraction for a guy without implying something sexual."
Excuse me? This is completely without any sort of basis whatsoever. So once a girl is no longer chaste she doesn't know how to love anymore, but is doomed to jump from one sexual relationship to another for her sins? I've never heard anything so ridiculous. If a girl has low self-esteem its probably because of people like the author of the article kicking her when she's down by adopting a holier-than-thou attitude.

Super long comment, I know, but just had to get it off my chest. Toodles! =)
